Another implant case was restored by Dr. Lia Vo.  Patient has history of poor home care, upper central incisors have failed root canal treatments and restoratives, severe chronic infection.  We extracted both incisors, immediate implants were placed.  Due to patient's poor home care, the results are not ideal (gingival recessions, black triangle) as our standards.  However, patient is very happy to have her smile back.

Immediate Implant to Replace a Tooth with Failed Root Canal Treatment, Chronic Infection, Sinus Tract

#8 has failed root canal treatment with chronic infection and sinus tract. We decided to extract #8 and place implant immediately after extraction. A temporary crown was cemented in place. Shown here are before, immediate and 3 weeks post-op results.
